The world has introverts and extroverts and then there’s us outgoing introverts slap bang in the middle and that seems to make no sense, yeah, I know.
We find people truly intriguing, but so exhausting too.
We love to go on adventures but need peace and quiet.
We want to go out and do fun things, but we take ages to prepare ourselves mentally.
We are the worlds worst for texting back, but can then sit and listen to someone talking for hours and hours.
We are outgoing introverts.
We are like the mythical creatures of fairy tales, you wonder did they truly ever exist, as there must have been something as no one’s imagination can be that good.
We are a mixture of emotion, depth and passion all bundled up in one beautiful gift.
If you are lucky enough to ever meet an outgoing introvert, buckle up sweetheart you’re in for one hell of a ride.
We live in our minds.
Yes, we mind talk, a lot. We overanalyse every little thing, we hear what you say, and we literally break it down word by word, as we figure out what you are saying.
We don’t do the small talk bullshit.
We know its raining or hot outside, don’t even think about trying to start a conversation with that one. We want to know what makes you tick not what the weather is doing.
We hate small talk, so we hate first dates.
We will decline your offer to go to dinner on a first date, that is our idea of a nightmare, that involves small talk and we don’t do that. First date? Drink in a bar as a small group that will do nicely thanks, not exactly a date but close enough.
We can go either way when it comes to going out.
The environment is a key factor here. If the music, vibe and setting feel right we are the life and soul of the party, that’s where people wrongly assume, we are an extrovert. If the environment is wrong then sorry epic failure and we shut down, so of course people assume we are rude, see no win situation.
We can’t meet all of your friends at once.
We do want to meet your friends as they are part of you and your life, but for goodness sake not all at once. Outgoing introverts can’t cope with too many people at once all asking questions it exhausts us and we then need to go hibernate for about a month.
We always want others to feel comfortable.
We are not flirty or flighty like some may think, we ask questions and show an interest as we want to get to know people and make sure they are comfortable around us, we have even been known to laugh at a really shit joke just so someone isn’t embarrassed.
We sometimes need to recharge.
When its time for us to recharge then we simply disappear off the radar so to speak. We value our alone time, feeding our soul, so if you don’t hear back from us that’s what we are doing.
We are like private investigators.
We put the FBI to shame. We are very good at looking out for signs that you may be deceiving us, trust me you can’t lie to us we will find out.
You’ll never fall in love with anyone else quite like us.
We want to know all of you, not just the pieces you put on show for the world to see. We will make you feel like the most important person in the world, and that’s because at the time to us you are. Should the relationship not work out you will always remember the love we gave you with fond memories.
But as I said earlier an outgoing introvert damn, hang on tight it’s a hell of a ride.
